I was recently talking to a friend, listening as she was describing her journey through this new transition. I could hear in her voice disappointment and wonderment if she had made the right move or not. From her perspective, things weren’t moving as quickly as she thought or showing the hopeful promises she knew was to come.
Have you ever been there? I know I have. Often times, when I have taken that leap of faith and things, don’t start happening or unfolding like I think they should, I quickly let discouragement creep in and more times than not - take over. It’s like I forget that there is always a process and step by step format that needs to take place to get to the end goal. That’s not to say the Lord can’t or won’t promote and bring favor throughout the journey, but there is so much He wants to unfold as we set sail to our destination.
Maybe you are on your voyage - whether just starting out or you've been in route for quite some time let's take a moment to reflect on His Word.
“Do not despise this small beginning, for the eyes of the Lord rejoice to see the work begin.”
Know that He has brought you to this moment for such a time as this. No matter if you feel like you are in the trenches or swiftly approaching the mountaintop - continue to be obedient and faithful to the task at hand. Each day is a new step opening up to all He has before you. Don't rush the process and don't despise small beginnings.
